About RecipePi
RecipePi is an independent cooking website for home cooks who want clear, practical answers. We publish complete recipes and in-depth how-to guides that explain not only what to do in the kitchen, but why each step matters.
What we cover
Our library is organized into eight collections:
- Recipes – complete recipes and dish-by-dish cooking guides.
- Main Dish – steaks, smoked meats, chicken and hearty mains.
- Seafood – shrimp, shellfish and fish, cooked with confidence.
- Kitchen Guides – core techniques and kitchen equipment explained.
- Fruits & Vegetables – choosing, cutting and preparing produce.
- Drinks – tea, coffee toppers, lemonade and classic cocktails.
- Food Storage – storing, freezing and thawing food safely.
- Desserts – sweet treats, from scratch cakes to candied fruit.
Many of our guides grew out of the small, specific questions that come up while cooking: how to tell when shrimp is done, how to thicken a sauce that stays thin, how to keep cilantro from wilting in two days, or how to light a charcoal grill without lighter fluid. Each guide breaks the task into steps, covers common mistakes and finishes with answers to frequently asked questions.
How our content is made
Recipes list every ingredient with quantities and number each instruction so you can follow along at the stove. Guides are written and edited by the RecipePi editorial team and reviewed for food-safety basics, such as safe internal temperatures and safe thawing methods. When we learn that something is unclear or out of date, we revise the page and update its date. You can read more in our editorial policy.
How the site is funded
RecipePi is free to read. The site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over which recipes or guides we publish or what they say. Details about cookies and ads are in our privacy policy.
