Just because it’s winter does not mean you can’t enjoy fresh fruit!
▫️Contrary to popular belief, green grapes also contain anti-oxidants! Don’t let those red wine drinkers make you think you should only consume red grapes! 💁🏼‍♀️
▫️Some other benefits of grapes include:
-low calorie snack filled with dietary fiber (my favorite, very underrated nutrient)
-rich in anti-oxidants to fight free-radical damage and protect against certain cancers/diseases ➡️ anti-inflammatory properties
-rich in vitamin C and vitamin K
-grapes are 82% water
▫️There are plenty of reasons to include grapes and other fresh fruits in the diet so I thought I would share a few!
▫️In my personal life, I’m getting a break from clinical and doing my community rotation this week with WIC! Then it’s back to clinicals again next week!
